RICHMOND, VA—The Virginia House Democratic Caucus proudly welcomes Jaime Reimers as its new executive director, where she will help lead the House Caucus in the 2021 Regular Session and the 2021 campaign cycle. Reimers is an experienced campaign manager and caucus executive director with a successful track record in Colorado and Michigan politics.
“The General Assembly’s ability to bring progressive change to the Virginia landscape this year serves as a shining example of why elections matter — up and down the ballot,” said Reimers. “I look forward to building on the momentum the Virginia House Democrats created in 2020 and maintaining the Democratic majority for years to come.”
During the 2020 campaign cycle, Reimers served as the executive director of the Colorado Democratic Senate Campaign Fund. In this role, she oversaw all the Colorado state senate campaigns, where every Democratic seat was protected, one seat flipped to blue, and the Democrats kept the majority. Prior to her time in Colorado, Reimers worked in her home state of Michigan holding positions in both the House and Senate Democratic Caucuses, managing Winnie Brinks’ successful state senate race in 2018, and running field efforts for former Congressman John Dingell’s 2012 campaign.
“We are excited to bring Jaime to the House Democratic Caucus team, where her extensive experience recruiting, training, and supervising campaign managers and candidates will be a great asset,” said House Democratic Majority Leader Charniele Herring. “Her political expertise and our 2020 legislative accomplishments give us a good path forward as we head into the 2021 session and campaign year.”
